EU angry at UK’s foreign policy plans

Britain has infuriated its European partners by launching an 11th-hour bid to water down plans for a stronger EU foreign policy, raising tensions ahead of a Brussels summit this week.

The British move came as Poland stepped up its campaign against the risk of Germany and other big countries dominating the EU under a new voting system being proposed as part of a “reforming” treaty to be outlined on Tuesday.
