D Börse report pushes OTC collateralisation

Complex over-the-counter derivatives trades that can not be processed through clearing houses should be collateralised as a matter of standard procedure to help safeguard the financial system, according to Deutsche Börse, the German exchange and clearing group.

The call, in a study on the global derivatives market, highlights another gap in the way markets were functioning before the financial crisis.
