Corus to sell 80% stake in UK plant

Corus, the Anglo-Dutch steelmaker, agreed on Thursday to sell an 80 per cent stake in one of its UK steel plants to an Italian-South Korean consortium for $480m.

As part of the deal, the large steel plant on Teesside, in north-east England, will receive an investment of about $500m during the next five years from its new majority owners to make it more productive.
