Loyalty collides with disgust in Glasgow poll

Labour is hoping that loyalty – however faded – will be enough to see off a strong challenge from the Scottish National party in Thursday’s by-election at Glasgow North East, one of the most socially deprived seats in the UK.

“Politics is so corrupt today that you don’t know who to have faith in,” said Kathleen Mooney, an education support worker for Glasgow city council. “But I still hope that Labour wins.”
