Management fads come and go but leadership is always in vogue, both as a subject for debate and a priority for business.

The once briefly fashion-able idea that leadership was somehow questionable in an era of egalitarianism is already a distant memory. The squeamishness of the anti-leaders is a thing of the past. Today, customers, shareholders, employees and voters all say they want to see strong leadership.
