Ex-chief takes temporary Freddie Mac role

Freddie Mac said on Friday that David Moffett, former chief executive, would return temporarily as a consultant dealing with the mortgage group’s finances after the death of acting chief financial officer David Kellermann this week.

Mr Kellermann’s apparent suicide added to disarray in the company’s boardroom as the mortgage financier is preparing to issue its first-quarter financial results.
