Show of unity by partners puts TNK-BP dispute to rest

Tony Hayward, BP’s chief executive, and Mikhail Fridman, one of BP’s Russian billionaire partners in TNK-BP, met senior managers at the oil venture this week to assure them that the bitter dispute for control had been fully settled, TNK-BP said on Friday as Russia sought to draw a line under the issue.

Viktor Vekselberg, one of the four Russian partners, on Friday also met Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president, to assure him of the end of the conflict and said the two sides would make their amicable agreement, reached last month, legally binding by December.
