Dotted among those advertising household goods and fancy real estate are posters hailing the services of one bank after another as the sector looks to build on a period of strong growth. In part, the banks have added to the congestion on Egypt’s roads as retail services, including car loans, have grown rapidly from negligible proportions, now that a more dynamic sector has emerged.
