Apex founder in talks with Rothschild

Sir Ronald Cohen, one of the founding fathers of the UK private equity industry, is poised to go back into business just one year after quitting Apax Partners, the company which made his name.

It is understood that Sir Ronald is in talks with Lord Jacob Rothschild, the financier, to set up a new asset management business which would straddle a wide spectrum of alternative investments.
