A charity run by British hedge funds will today join forces with the foundation run by Bill Clinton, the former US president, to try to double the number of medical staff in Mozambique within four years.

Mr Clinton will announce the joint venture with Absolute Return for Kids at the charity's annual event tonight. It is likely to be the biggest money-raising dinner in the UK and the second-biggest in the world after last week's Robin Hood hedge fund charity dinner in New York raised $71m.
