Labour accuses Cameron of elitism

David Cameron won Tuesday after the Tory leader chose Sir George Young to replace Alan Duncan, who was demoted for complaining that MPs were being forced to “live on rations”.

The move was designed to ensure that Mr Cameron’s credibility in pledging to clean up politics, including proposals on Tuesday to cut the cost of parliament, was not undermined by the “rations” furore.
