Toshiba warns of 50% fall in Nand chip prices

Toshiba warned that prices of Nand flash memory chips would drop by a higher-than-forecast 50 per cent this year.

Tuesday’s warning from the Japanese electronics company, adding to concerns from rival Samsung, came as it announced a 25 per cent fall in quarterly profit, in large part because of falling chip prices.
