Georgetown University’s McDonough school of business is on a mission to build up its research capacity and has started by appointing Insead professor Prashant Malaviya to its marketing department.
Like many of the top marketing professors, Prof Malaviya earned his PhD at the Kellogg school at Northwestern University. He specialises in areas of consumer judgements, such as the influence that subjective feelings have on consumer choices.
Prof Malaviya joined Insead in 1999 but spent the last year as a visiting faculty member at the Wharton school at the University of Pennsylvania.
