Labour MP used Commons staff to aid company

A Labour MP embroiled in the Westminster expenses scandal used parliamentary resources to help a company partially run from her constituency office win up to £50,000 of public funding and business sponsorship between 2006 and 2008.

The actions by Margaret Moran, MP for Luton South, appear to breach House of Commons rules. Ms Moran is already under pressure after it emerged she charged £22,500 for treating dry rot at her fiancé’s home, 100 miles from her constituency.
