Forint slides on Hungarian debt jitters

The Hungarian forint tumbled on Wednesday as fears over the country’s ability to finance its large external debt were heightened by signs that the global economy was set to slow.

Analysts said the Hungarian economy was particularly vulnerable to a slowdown in the eurozone, its main trading partner.
