Debt at record levels but wealth grows even faster

There is no sign that people are struggling to repay the record amounts of debt incurred in many wealthy countries over the past decade, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

In a study of the rise in household debt, it said household wealth had grown much faster than liabilities and that most debt was held by affluent households who could afford the repayments.
