Oil up after Opec decision

Oil prices rose on Wednesday after Opec announced it would keep its current production quota unchanged, rebuffing calls from consuming countries for an increase in supplies.

“It shows that Opec’s members are worried about what’s happening to demand so they don’t want to flood the market with oil,” said Helen Henton, head of commodity research at Standard Chartered Bank.
