Isle of Man caps tax to lure wealthy investors

The Isle of Man is stepping up efforts to attract wealthy entrepreneurs by setting a cap on personal income tax.

No resident will have to pay more than £100,000 a year in tax under the change announced yesterday by Allan Bell, Treasury minister, as part of the island's annual budget. Previously annual income was subject to a maximum 18 per cent rate of tax.
