Journalists barred again from Suu Kyi trial

Burmese authorities have again barred diplomats and journalists from the trial of Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the country’s opposition and winner of the Nobel peace prize.

But pressure is mounting on the regime with an announcement that Ban Ki-moon, the UN secretary-general is seeking a meeting with General Than Shwe, the Burmese leader.
