Iceland on Sunday said it had reached agreement with the UK and the Netherlands on a revised deal to repay nearly €4bn lost in a failed Icelandic bank.

Reykjavik has been in dispute with the two countries for the past year after hundreds of thousands of British and Dutch citizens saw their savings obliterated by the collapse of the Icelandic banking sector.
