Mexico on Saturday accused the US of moving towards protectionism even as US president Barack Obama adopted the rhetoric of free trade.

Felipe Calderon, president of Mexico, told the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Singapore that the US was “going in the opposite direction of free trade”.
