Cheaper fashions help Peacock strut its way to success

Competition and the tough market have clipped the wings of most retailers but Peacock Group is preening itself on finding success selling cheap clothes and scents on the high street.

With supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda moving into basic clothing, the chain faced a choice: swallow lower margins or change.
