Steve Jobs on Tuesday made an 11th-hour withdrawal from Apple’s main event of the year, prompting concern about the chief executive’s health and the readiness of the company’s new products.

Apple said Mr Jobs would not deliver his annual keynote speech at the Macworld Conference and Expo next month and, in a blow to the trade show industry, said it would be the last time it would exhibit or take part in keynotes at the show.
