British retail banks and global investment banks will be supervised by the same team at the Financial Services Authority as part of a significant reorganisation that will also bring all of the regulator’s risk specialists and its crimefighters together in dedicated teams.
The City regulator will also create an international division in an effort to “maximise our influence on the international agenda” for regulating financial services, Hector Sants, chief executive, told the Financial Times.
