Cable & Wireless matched the buoyant market trend on Tuesday as the FTSE 100 recorded its biggest daily points gain since April.
C&W rose 1.6 per cent to 144¼p after ING said the group’s planned break-up made little sense except as an attempt to draw predatory interest.
