Advice? Don’t ask me

The era of going to your bank manager for advice on your finances could end soon if new proposals separating advice from sales are approved.

Currently, high street banks offer ‘advice’ on issues such as pensions, investments and life cover, frequently offering a choice of their own products only. Such advice is currently called ‘tied’.
