As part of Science Alliance – a partnership between Derby North East Education Action Zone and Rolls-Royce – employees from the engineering company spend time in 10 primary schools around Derby to help improve the science classes being taught there.

The programme has helped the pupils, whose results in their school tests had previously been poor, to perform well above the national average.
