Having gained a doctorate in nuclear physics and worked as a research fellow in the semi-clandestine world of US nuclear laboratories before co-founding and running New York-based hedge fund consultancy Investor Analytics, Damian Handzy knows there are many similarities between the two worlds.

He believes specialist techniques learned in disciplines such as rocket science are highly transferable and desirable in the world of leveraged finance. And he also understands the need for secrecy in the hedge funds world more than most.
