Vonage reins in losses

Improved customer retention and a modest increase in revenues per line helped Vonage, the broadband phone company, report a narrower second quarter loss.

Vonage’s loss shrank to $6.88m, or 4 cents a share, from $23.2m, or 15 cents, a year earlier. Revenues increased by 11 per cent to $227.5m, in line with expectations.
