B&B thrives as credit squeeze pinches

Babcock & Brown on Thursday said the tougher conditions resulting from the global credit squeeze had played to its advantage, with the group enjoying one of its busiest periods on record.

Phil Green, chief executive, told the Financial Times that the Australia-based group, which spans infrastructure, real estate and aircraft leasing, had made more announcements in the past two months than in the previous four.
