Property groups sidestep the heaviest selling

The FTSE 100’s six-day rally came to a close on Wednesday, but property companies dodged the heaviest selling.

UK real estate investment trusts halved in value last year on concern about tenant defaults. The short-selling ban might also have effected them as traders used the sector as a proxy for the banks.
