Lloyd’s to provide cover for corrective surgery

Lloyd’s, the world’s oldest insurance market, is to begin covering the cost of correcting cosmetic surgery procedures if a patient suffers complications after going under the knife.

Juliet Bentley, a consultant for Beautysure who invented the product, said she believed that the policy, underwritten at Lloyd’s, was the first to cover the cost of corrective treatment after complications for an extended period after cosmetic surgery.
