Three suspects held in Brussels over corruption

Three men were arrested in Brussels yesterday on suspicion of involvement in a "very big" case of corruption, prompting renewed questions about the European Commission's handling of public money.

The men - a Commission official, a businessman and an MEP's researcher - are accused of giving and accepting kickbacks on the rental of offices for Commission delegations outside the EU.
