Ill-feeling on both sides of the New Labour divide resurfaced on Monday, amid claims that Cherie Blair had dismissed as “a lie” Gordon Brown’s account of his good working relationship with her husband.

Bloomberg news reported that Mrs Blair had made the remarks while watching Mr Brown’s speech on a television monitor as she walked among exhibition stands.
