Livingstone to toughen green building codein large projects

Developers are set to be forced to build greener, more energy-efficient homes in large projects in London under targets to be outlined today by Ken Livingstone.

The mayor's advisers expect building companies and developers to complain the targets are too demanding and will push up the capital costs of developments.
