Global equities were on course for their best week since early May after a number of pleasing corporate earnings reports and economic data supporting hopes of recovery.
So far this week, the FTSE All World index is up 6.3 per cent with one session to come – and stands a short step from the 6.7 per cent rise it achieved in the first week of May.
