Nymex ponders WTI in London

The New York Mercantile Exchange is thinking of launching its benchmark crude oil futures contract, West Texas Intermediate, on its new London open outcry exchange alongside its Brent crude futures contract.

Mitchell Steinhause, Nymex chairman, said that, if the WTI contract ran in London, it would accompany the out-of-hours electronic trading system linked to its US operation.
