Posco eyeing bid for Daewoo Shipbuilding

Posco, the world’s fourth-largest steelmaker, signalled on Thursday that it may bid for Daewoo Shipbuilding and Engineering – a deal that could be worth as much as $5bn.

The pending sale of Daewoo Shipbuilding, the world’s third-largest shipyard, has drawn huge interest from a number of potential bidders interested in entering the booming shipbuilding industry.
