Argentina seeks to reassure investors over debt

Argentina has mounted a robust defence of a bill that aims to reassure investors as they weigh the government's offer to restructure a record $100bn (£53bn, €77bn) of defaulted sovereign debt.

The bill, expected to pass its final congressional vote on Wednesday, would prevent the government from making a subsequent offer to bondholders.
