Autonomy sounds rare note of cheer to beat forecasts

Autonomyconfirmed full-year results would be at the top end of expectations, but analysts warned it was likely to be an exception for the UK software sector, rather than the rule.

The UK search software group yesterday said revenues for the full year would be above analysts' consensus of $502.3m (£330m), while fully diluted adjusted earnings per share would beat market forecasts of 64 cents.
