Two Palestinian suicide bombers killed at least 16 and wounded more than 100 people in almost simultaneous bus attacks in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba on Tuesday. The militant Hamas group claimed responsibility.

Hamas distributed a leaflet in the West Bank city of Hebron saying the attacks were revenge for Israel's assassination of its leaders Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi by helicopter missile strikes earlier this year.
