A senior Saudi royal who has been leading the kingdom’s anti-terrorist campaign was wounded when an al-Qaeda-linked militant blew himself up at a gathering in the prince’s Jeddah home, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
Prince Mohammed Bin Naif, who is deputy interior minister, was treated at a hospital for minor injuries after Thursday night’s incident. The prince, who is the son of interior minister Prince Naif, the third in line to the throne, was shown on Saudi television on Friday sitting with King Abdullah, who had gone to the hospital.
