David Miliband will make the first visit by a foreign secretary to Russia for five years in a fresh attempt by London and Moscow next month to rekindle their often difficult bilateral relationship.
The Financial Times has learnt that Mr Miliband’s visit to Moscow will take place on November 2. According to Russian sources, it will be the first time a foreign secretary has visited Moscow since a trip by Jack Straw in July 2004.
