Retail landlords hit by falling demand

The slowdown in high street spending has started to take a toll on landlords of retail property, according to figures published on Friday.

The number of retail surveyors who saw an increase in available shop space rose 14 per cent during the three months to September, according to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
