Branson to invest $3bn in climate fight

Sir Richard Branson on Thursday pledged to invest $3bn in profits from his transport businesses over the next decade to fight global warming.

In a gesture that underlines mounting corporate interest in being associated with measures to address climate change, the flamboyant British entrepreneur said he was “starting the ball rolling” on environmental reform because “global warming could literally wipe out the world”.
