Anil Ambani, the younger of two brothers locked in India’s biggest corporate succession feud, on Tuesday accused the country’s petroleum minister of taking the side of his elder sibling Mukesh Ambani in a long-running gas dispute.
At the Reliance Natural Resources annual meeting, Anil accused Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh, of “dishonourable conduct”, and alleged that Murli Deora, the petroleum minister, had adopted “a partisan and biased approach favouring Reliance Industries”. Anil was frequently cheered by his shareholders during the meeting.
