Subscription plan lifts ITV

ITV was among the gainers on Monday after its house broker said the group should give up on free-to-air broadcasting.

“We see strategic upside from a subscription model,” UBS said. “Subscription revenues would improve the quality of ITV’s revenue mix and would transform it into a story of structural growth, geared to the growth of pay TV, rather than one of structural decline.”
