Superior Group makes rubber O-rings, seals and mouldings, many of which end up in machinery and equipment made in Chinese factories. But after many visits to China, Tim Brown, managing director, decided to continue manufacturing all the company’s products at its Wimborne, east Dorset, base.

“We looked at it very carefully,” says Mr Brown. “In the end, we felt the loss of control on such high-integrity products would be too high a price to pay.”
