Suit by Tom Ford

Most of my wardrobe is Tom Ford. The craftsmanship and the materials are second to none. Tom’s a great guy and a great friend to me – which makes it all that easier to wear his suits and spend all that money. I only wear suits two to three times a week. Truth is most people don’t wear suits in LA unless they are an agent. Since I’ve converted to Tom Ford, most of my suits are dark.

Shirt by Tom Ford

When I get shirts made, it’s all about the fabric; I need them to feel comfortable and flattering to the body. I dress how I feel I should present myself that day. I’ll experiment with prints and different shades – but always classic and nothing too jarring. I’m a simple guy when it comes to my wardrobe, everything is to the point and straightforward. I don’t like embellishments, accessories or anything flamboyant.

Tie by Tom Ford

This cashmere tie is handsome and special looking; it looks like I could have inherited it from an Agnelli a hundred years ago. I’ve never been trendy. I tend to stick with the classics with my suits and my suit accessories. Again, it’s all about the fabric and colour. I usually try to stay away from the fashion of the moment.

Shoes by Church’s

I really like the shape of this shoe as I have a wider foot so shoe shopping can be challenging. I’m not as involved with day-to-day operations of my hotels any more, so I’m not on my feet all day necessarily, but these are really comfortable.

Pocket Square by Hermès

My father passed down to me some 30 pocket squares five years ago that he’s had since the 1960s. I don’t go crazy with pocket squares; it has to match, not clash, with what I am wearing. This particular pocket square and shirt combo is a bit art deco, but I like to look co-ordinated.

Watch by Rolex

I’m not a big watch guy. A friend gave me this Oyster Perpetual Date five years ago as a gift and I remember being shocked. I know LA is a big power watch town, but I’ve never subscribed to that. I also own a Piaget for black tie that my grandfather gave me, as well as a Hermès.

Ring by XIV Karats

I never wore a ring in my life until I got married two years ago. The ring is gold and has the date of our wedding along with our respective initials. It’s sophisticated with no elements of flash. I’m very consistent with my simplicity.
