Suit and pocket square by Brunello Cucinelli

I like Cucinelli’s suits because they are classic and contemporary at the same time, which is what makes Italian tailoring so unique. A suit has to be blue or grey. Not just because I like the colours, but it’s also the way you have to be if you work in finance. I usually add a hint of colour using a nice Oxford bicolour handkerchief, or tie.

Tie by E Marinella

The Neapolitan company, with its “very British” ties, retains a unique “friends and family” attitude. If you happen to meet Maurizio Marinella in the Naples shop, make sure to taste his special frozen coffee while discussing the meaning of being “well dressed”.

Pollini has a long tradition going back to the 1950s. Simplicity coupled with scrupulous attention to quality is the essence of elegance.

Watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre

Sometimes the value of a product lies in the time it takes to be made. The attention to detail to each component is amazing.

Shoes by Ferragamo

My Tramezza shoes take three weeks to make, and when you have shoes made you really notice the difference.
